Anouk had a pretty good sleep last night & has woken up well, talking a bit & asking for Neavey. Sorry family mbers it's only Neavey at the moment! She moved around a bit during the might & even ended laying on her op side where the bandage is. She is still a bit groggy as is still on morphine. We have offered to take over the morphine but for some strange reason they didn't like that idea! The plan is to ease her off the morphine all together as she still hasn't had anything proper to ear for 62 hrs! One hell of a way to loose weight! We have sat her up straight so as she dosen't get a saw neck... such a brave girl when we move her.....dosen't complain at all.
We are waiting for a replacment drug to go on after the morphine. Some swelling has come up etc as can be expected so it's lots of rest today & thank Christ cbeebies is on 7 days a week.
Time wise we are expecting to bs here for a least another 2 weeks in Ocean ward...so visitors will be most welcome. As a result we have been offered the cnr bed which has more room...woohoo luxury. The ward Sister is on the tools for the next 4 days....very reassuring to have the boss around!
